ABOUT ME
I see my work as a continuum as a Samoan Scottish woman born in Aotearoa New Zealand. I describe my work as 'Siapo Aotearoa', a high bread of cultures combining into a new art form. My Siapo construction comes from the village of Leone, Tutuila, American Somoa, where I leaned the Siapo style of Mary Pritchard and the Siapo makers of Leone.
I studied printmaking under Anne Philbin and Michel Tuffery. I studied carving under Steve Myer and Owen Mapp.
I am an active member of the Samoan Porirua Community. I am a mother of four, an educator, and a community activator.
